About Me
Qualifying in 2009 at the University of Birmingham, I trained and worked for several years in NHS Psychotherapy Services in Warwick and then later at the Tavistock Clinic in London, part of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which has an unrivalled reputation as an internationally regarded centre of excellence in psychoanalytic training. There I completed a further rigorous professional clinical psychotherapy training, which specialised in working in a modern, multi-cultural context.
I am also trained and fully qualified to work safely with Energy Psychotherapy. Energy Psychotherapy is a trauma-informed approach which combines traditional talking therapy with energy methods to facilitate the movement from insight, into a fully integrated and embodied internal experience. It is a safe, gentle and effective treatment that can regulate the nervous system, and alleviate, unblock and clear symptoms associated with trauma and emotional distress that are held deeply in the mind-body energy system. Including patterns of transgenerational attachment, preverbal and complex trauma. It involves working with the acupoint meridians using tapping, (EFT), energy centre clearing, (chakras), Psychoanalytic Energy Psychotherapy, (PEP) tapping on the inner child, Ask and Receive, and breathwork and intention.
