About Me 

Qualifying in 2009 at the University of Birmingham, I trained and worked for several years in NHS Psychotherapy Services in Warwick and then later at the Tavistock Clinic in London, part of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which has an unrivalled reputation as an internationally regarded centre of excellence in psychoanalytic training. There I completed a further rigorous professional clinical psychotherapy training, which included an infant observation and intensive personal psychoanalytic psychotherapy.  The training specialised in working in a modern, multi-cultural context.

 

I have a particular interest in trauma, whether it is thought about as relational, attachment, developmental, intergenerational, transgenerational, complex, PTSD or CPTSD. I keep abreast of current thinking, treatments and therapeutic advancements. I am also fully qualified and accredited to practice Energy Psychotherapy, which has enhanced and enriched my practice to work safely with trauma.  I have completed the rigorous 18-month long professional clinical training, Energy Psychotherapy, the post-qualification core clinical training with certification, 'Transforming Trauma', with the training organisation, Energy Psychotherapy Training, (Founded by Dr Phil Mollon, Psychoanalyst, Clinical Psychologist, and Energy Psychotherapist, and Ruthie Smith, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Energy Psychotherapist).
